Drunk Pal Drowned After He Dived From A Motorized Banca Off Sorsogon Bay

Sorsogon City - A drunk man was drowned when he dived from a motorized banca off Sorsogon Bay 2pm yesterday, March 31, 2020 near Poctol, Capuy village in Sorsogon City, police has bared. 

The victim, John Paul Lareza, 20 of Bulabog, Sorsogon West was already sailing home along with drinking buddies when suddenly without a hint, jumped off the water.

In a minute, Lareza disappeared while his companion tried to scour the vast surroundings of water in an attempt to rescue the victim.

But in a couple of hours, the rescue turned futile as the lifeless body of the victim was found along the rocky shoreline just nearby, brought to the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. # (Source: SCPS report)
